David Morris joined this industry in 1966  when he became a student at Leicester Polytechnic on the Dip.AD Foundation Garment, Lingerie and Swimwear Design course.

Three years later he graduated and joined Triumph International as a lingerie designer. 

He worked as a technical designer for the next 15 years in a number of UK companies including Gossard, Fantasie and Marathon Knitwear. In 1985 he started as a consultant to international Intimates companies.

In 1996 he became a lecturer in Contour Fashion Design at the De Montfort University in the UK. 

David retired in 2014 from the university as Principal Lecturer but continued as a consultant to the industry.

In 2006 he started IA Technical, a magazine that specialises in technical training for the Intimates industry.

He delivered technical training courses in the UK and overseas and developed Distance Learning Professional Development courses for students unable to visit the Leicester based courses. His studio in Leicester supports a bureau service for new and existing brands product development.
